But of course.

[ Sorry he's like this, Hikage. But then again, this was how he was now. Anyway, at least this time it's taking him a bit to consider those words. ]

Ha! The idea of him being anything like Rosa is enough to make me laugh. Then again, such mongrels can surprise even someone like myself with their impudence from time to time. But still, my point stands.

[ He shouldn't be smiling in fond amusement at that, though. But remembering how jealous Solomon had been then was amusing in of itself—he's pointedly not recalling when a certain someone had dared to make him jealous in return, though. ]

Regardless, you are free to dislike such words, seeing as he clearly didn't know his place when he uttered them, despite your perceived misstep. Though I imagine it'll take him awhile to accept whatever bond you two have, it is something he'll be forced to do, even if he's not obliged to adore your companion as you do him. Ah, if only such things could be solved by bringing him into your union...but since I know you do not desire to have him that way, such a outcome is clearly an impossibility.

In the end, to someone who had his life threatened by such a person, accepting his existence as anything remotely good would be impossible. I wouldn't be surprised if he more than simply 'disliked' him.

But even so, as I've said, he'll have to eventually 'accept' Subete existing by your side—likely after you two have made amends or possibly even before that. His loyalty to you is almost second to none; I've seen it and I remember it well. And so, everything will soon fall back into place, with him rightfully back at your side as a loyal mongrel should be—if, of course, that's a mutual end you both should desire.
